Steamboat Grand Hotel One Bedroom Tour. The Steamboat Grand Hotel is located near the Steamboat Ski Resort in Steamboat Springs Colorado. You can walk to the slopes from here. We visited in the Summer and man, was it beautiful. We lived in Colorado for over 8 years and never went to Steamboat in all that time. What a mistake. I highly recommend the trip! Even during the Pandemic, this is a great place to go! The resort wasn’t very crowded during the summer and we were able to park for free in the parking deck across the street.
The Steamboat Grand Hotel One Bedroom Suite we stayed in was 750 sq. ft. and had everything you would need for a short or long term stay. The room was very clean and just had fantastic views. My only complaint was that the fireplace wouldn’t turn on, but I assume they only activate that during the colder months.
Word of warning thought, due to the pandemic, you have to reserve a time to use the pool. Do that as soon as you get there and each morning thereafter so you are sure to get the time you want. Also, outside of the Pool Cafe/Bar, there is nothing else open in the hotel. No gift shop, no restaurants or anything. You can’t even use the gym.
There are some restaurants located outside the hotel that are actually attached to the hotel that are open. We ate at the Thai restaurant which was good, but very slow due to the high demand and to-go orders. There is also a liquor/beer/wine store attached as well. I believe these places lease space from the hotel to operate, but are not owned by the hotel.
There are some other restaurants and stores open in the Steamboat Resort Village that are good as well.
