Join us for a tour of the Jameson Distillery Experience in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. Jameson has some of the best tour guides I have seen. Learn how Jameson was made from the 1800’s to the present. The Midleton Distillery is located between Cork and Waterford in the South of Ireland. Not to be confused with Jameson Bow Street, this is the active distillery where Jameson is currently distilled. Jameson Bow Street is more of a tour of displays and a tasting room, which also worth visiting.

The Jameson Midleton Distillery costs €23 for adults and €11 for children under 18 as of May 2019. It includes a fully guided tour and tastings. For updated pricing and information, click here.

The tour last approximately 75 minutes and this video compacts the tour down to 14 minutes. If you can’t make it to Midleton, you will learn a lot watching this video. Of course, nothing beats being there in person.

When the tour finishes, you get to do a comparative tasting of three whiskeys. One is Jameson of course. After the comparison tasting, you will get to drink Jameson on ice or their signature cocktail “Jameson & Ginger Ale”.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Our daughter was 8 at the time we went and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She is very inquisitive by nature, so she probably asked the tour guide more questions than anyone else!

It is definitely worth the visit and we highly recommend it! To see other distilleries and breweries we have visited, click here.

Unlike most travel bloggers that travel full time, we have to balance full time jobs, and elementary school age daughter. We definitely don't travel as much as we would like, but we think our situation is closer to what most travelers are in themselves.
Our family currently lives and loves the Austin, Texas area of the United States. We have lived in many states and even internationally.
